Embargo (thesis)
Also called thesis embargo
An embargo is a period during which a completed, submitted thesis is kept restricted from public access, sometimes requested to protect sensitive data or allow time for journal publication before the full thesis becomes freely available.
In context
You'll usually need this when your thesis contains sensitive data or you want journal publication to happen before public release.
