Fixed-effect model
A fixed-effect model is a meta-analysis model assuming all included studies are estimating one single true effect, appropriate only when studies are genuinely similar enough to share that assumption.
In context
You'll usually need this when included studies are similar enough to plausibly share one single true effect.
