Journal quartile

Also called journal quality, impact factor tier, q1 journal

Journal quartile (Q1 through Q4) ranks a journal's citation impact against others in its subject category, with Q1 being the top 25%. It's a rough proxy for influence, not a guarantee that any individual paper in it is good.
