Publication bias
Publication bias is the tendency for studies with positive or striking results to get published more often than studies with null or unremarkable results, distorting what the overall published literature appears to show.
In context
You'll usually need this when a literature review seems to show universal support for something, and you want to check whether null results were simply less likely to be published.
