Reference manager

Also called zotero, mendeley, endnote

A reference manager is software (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote) that stores sources, removes most manual citation formatting errors, and builds a structured, searchable personal library as a researcher's reading volume grows.

In context

You'll usually need this once your reading list has grown too large to format citations by hand reliably.
