Framing Your Question

Research objective

A research objective is one of a small number (commonly three to five) of achievable, evidence-based steps that decompose a research aim. A common weakness is objectives that just restate the aim in different words rather than genuinely distinct steps.

In context

You'll usually need this when breaking a broad aim into steps a committee can actually check off.
