Special issue (predatory risk)
A special issue is a themed journal issue, generally legitimate, but sometimes exploited by predatory operations to rapidly publish large volumes of poorly reviewed content under a credible journal's name.

You'll usually need this when a themed special issue seems to be publishing an unusually large volume of content too quickly.
